Maturing Together In Christ
“They Devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer."
Acts 2:42
Worship
We believe that our entire lives are meant to be lived out as worship to God, and our assemblies on Sunday encourage us to do that. You are welcome to attend our service. It begins at 10:45 a.m. with inspiring music and an encouraging message.
You probably noticed our uniqueness as an "a cappella" church. This is a special part of our heritage, as a "restoration church", that we have decided to maintain. At the Calgary Church of Christ we love to sing, and we hope that you enjoy the beautiful sound of our voices blending together. But even more importantly, we hope that our worship draws you close to the heart of God! Our purpose is to encourage each other and praise our Saviour Jesus Christ. Our hope is that you find our unique style of worship as encouraging as we do!
Our goal is to blend both contemporary and traditional worship styles together so that every believer is encouraged and touched by the hand of God. We welcome you to participate in our drama team, praise team or to share other gifts God has given to you that would encourage our church family. If you are interested in these or other ministries be sure to contact the church office for more information.
Communion
As part of our weekly assembly we share the Lord's Supper. Our time of communion is to help us remember Christ's death on the Cross, his burial and resurrection and to give us an opportunity to show our gratitude for his sacrifice which paid the price for our salvation.
Prayer
Praying together is one of the things we enjoy most about meeting together for Sunday worship. Our Shepherd's Invitation and Shepherd's Prayer allow the congregation's prayer needs to be immediately taken before the Lord or for our Elders to privately address prayer needs brought to them by the church. Look for the mauve coloured cards in the back of the pews on which you may make your requests for prayer.
